ABOUT STEF
Passionate. Holistic. Visionary. Resilient. Kind.
Stef (she/they) is a natural complex systems thinker, constantly evaluating their environment. This came in handy in the 8 years she spent at the bedside in critical care! When she was diagnosed with tongue cancer at age 37, her experience as a young adult (AYA) survivor awakened a new passion and curiosity inside her about healthcare systems and how we treat people. Stef believes each person is whole as they are -- not consisting of broken parts that need to be "fixed." When we meet people where they're at in their personal stories, we are able to empower one another to reach our greatest potentials!
Stef earned both an Associate and Bachelor degree in Nursing before earning a Master of Healthcare Innovation from The Ohio State University College of Nursing in 2023 and became certified in trauma-informed coaching in 2024 from Mentor Agility after completing 75 hours of coursework, a practical skills assessment, and ACC oral exam.
Stef has spoken with congressional staffers on Capitol Hill with the National Coalition for Cancer Survivorship Cancer Policy and Advocacy Team (NCCS CPAT), presented her story on stage multiple times, participated as a panelist at an international conference, and served as a peer reviewer. As a coach and consultant, she has worked with international drug companies, startups stateside, and many individual coaching clients.
Stef lives outside of Baltimore, MD with her son Noah and their loveable ragdoll mix, Frosty. She enjoys reading, deep discussions, sound baths, baking and cooking, hiking & nature walks, and being anywhere on or near the water. She's an absolutely terrible interior designer, sings poorly in the shower, and has entirely too many Funko Pop figures for a middle-aged adult.

Just before my surgery in 2019, I asked a friend and fellow nurse to do a photoshoot of my son and I. I wanted to document happy memories because I didn't know what would happen.

Smiling and playing hangman and other games that didn't involve talking while getting my trach breathing treatment.

Hiking and going on nature walks in my area is one way I enjoy spending my time when the weather is nice.
